I wrote a long insta post about my goals for 2018 but since then I’ve been doing some thinking..
There are a few home improvements I’d like to make this year – I’d like to finish hanging our picture frames and shelves, paint the fireplace white and decorate Saskia’s room to make it pale grey with pink accents (with a wedding to pay for, the rest can wait – I’m learning that not everything needs to be immediate, good things take time.)
But really my goals are simple – to live more, to laugh more, to be more present in what I’m doing and I guess, as part of that, to be more organised with my time. I want to do more of what I love: blogging, photo taking and adventures and worry less about the things I can’t change (because there will inevitably be some downs along the way.)
It’s so easy to put so much pressure on yourself for the year to be perfect, I know I’m guilty of that already. But what is a perfect year when there are so many things beyond our control? All I endeavour to do this year is really LIVE and enjoy every second I have with my little lady and husband to be because I’m so thankful to have them.
Here’s to 2018!
