When my insta pal, Becca, told me about the workshop she was planning I jumped at the chance to be involved. Braiding, flower crown making and afternoon tea – a girls’ heaven, right?!
The day certainly didn’t disappoint. Put together in a gorgeous little lodge, it was probably the most insta-worthy place I have ever been!
It’s always nerve-wracking meeting someone in person who you’ve only known through these little squares but I have never felt more welcome. I’ve been to so many events (not insta events but through work) where I’ve come away feeling self conscious and down because I haven’t felt included or haven’t felt like I fit in but Becca did such an amazing job at including everyone & I know that I’ve definitely made a friend for life. I think every single one of us went away feeling like we’d had a fantastic day and that really is a testament to Becca’s gorgeous personality.
It was great to learn new skills – I can now do a fishtail plait, whoop whoop!! & the goodies provided by Batiste, Tangle Teezer and Invisibobble meant that everyone was able to practice and create beautiful hairstyles. (I say everyone, Becca ended up giving us each incredible, individual braids for the all important photos!)
This was mine & I’m actually thinking about having this for bridesmaid hair at my wedding, I loved it so much!
Not only did we learn how to braid, but we learnt how to make flower crowns as well!
I am now considering becoming a full time flower crown-maker. Although almost all the flowers had fallen out of mine by the time I got home so maybe not…
It was honestly the perfect day & we all left feeling like princesses!
I met some absolutely fab new friends who I will definitely see again & I’m still on a high thinking about the whole day now, over a week later!
Thank you, Becca! You did yourself proud xxx
